Jay T. Bell and Rich R. Noll Awards Committee

DESCRIPTION: 

The Awards committee consists of 5 members responsible for reviewing and selecting winners for MCMA's two awards:

Jay T. Bell Award- In 1981 the Missouri City/County Management Association established the Jay T. Bell Professional Management Award. The award is presented annually to "the member who displays the same high standards of accomplishment, professionalism and ethical conduct as exhibited by Jay T. Bell", the Executive Director of the Missouri Municipal League from 1965-1981. The committee reviews the applications and determines a winner.

Richard R. Noll Award- In 2011 the Missouri City/County Management Association established the Richard R. Noll Outstanding Assistant Award. The nominee must hold an administrative position that is responsible for assisting the Chief Administrative Officer in carrying out various administrative duties and other responsibilities as directed by the City Administrator/Manager/Administrative Officer. The committee reviews the applications and determines a winner.

This committee will serve as a task force in 2021/22 charged with evaluating the awards nomination process and recommending to the Board of Directors whether a task force to update the nomination process should be created in the future.
